Add extra clay to the face to build up the chin and the cheeks. Make hair marks with a pointed stick. Add pieces and lumps of clay to make more hair for the heads of girls.

THE FACE
The corners of the mouth and the eyes turn up on a happy face and down on a sad face. Rig, round eyes give any face a look of surprise.
Draw a faint line around the head, halfway down from the top of it. On this line mark the two eyes with the pointed stick.
Shape a lump of clay for the nose and add it to the face, between the eyes and just below the line.
