FINGER PAINTING
With special finger paints, you can paint pictures with vonr lingers and hands instead of with a brush.
Finger paints are sold at art supply stores, stationery stores, variety stores, or dime stores. Or you can make your own finger paints by mixing starch and poster paint. Ask your mother to boil sonic laundry starch for you. Let it cool. Pour it into several jars, and mix a little poster paint with the starch a diller ent color in each jar.

A good wav to take care of the chalk pictures you want to keep is to spray them with a special fluid called fixative. You can get fixative at almost any art supply store. Fixative becomes a film over the chalk and keeps it from smearing.

You can make bold, bright pictures with chalk, too. First wet the paper. I ,el the extra water drip off the page. Then draw on the wet paper with the colored chalk. Be sure to spread new spa per s on your work space before you start painting with chalk in this way, for it can be messy.

Here are two different ways to make chalk pictures.
Dry Chalk
Put one chalk color on top of another. Then rub the chalk with your finger to blend the colors together. You’ll probably find that the colors you get are very soft and delicate looking.
