Make your own pendant

Make your own pendant
Press a piece of clay into the shape you want. Before you let the clay harden, put a hole through it for the cord.
Paint the clay piece and put the cord through the hole. The cord must be long enough for the pendant to hang around your neck.

Glue a safety pin to the back of the clay. Paint the clay and let it dry before covering with shellac.

Glue a large paper clip to the back of the clay piece.

safety pins for pins and brooches
cord for pendants
shellac

Clay soup bowl

The top of the howl will he wider than the sides if you put on a longer coil. It will he narrower if you put on a shorter coil.
A coil can also he used for a handle on the side of the howl.
Paint the howl with a mixture of tempera and some detergent. When the paint is dry, cover it with shellac.

pieces from this for the legs. Stick them on the body. The rest of the sausage shape is the trunk. Stick it on the head.
Smooth the clay where the pieces are attached to each other.
Two tiny balls can be rolled out to make tusks. Mark the eyes with a pointed stick.

How To Mold a Sausage Dog
To make a sausage dog:
Make a long roll for the body.
Make a ball for the head and four small rolls for the legs. Stick them on the body.
A tiny roll can be the tail and a smaller one can be the nose. Two flattened balls can he the ears.
Mark the nose, eyes, and mouth with the pointed stick.

To make an elephant:
Roll two big balls, one for the body and the other for the trunk and the legs.
Roll three smaller balls, all the same size, for the head and the two ears. Flatten the two balls for the ears, and stick them on the head. Stick head to body.

Stick the head on top of the body.
Flatten the other two halls until they are shaped like the two wings in the picture. Stick the wings on the body.
Roll two smaller balls for the feet, and flatten them. Stick them in place.
A tiny hall can be pointed to make a beak. Stick it in the middle of the face.
Smooth the clay where the pieces are stuck to each other so that the lines where they join do not show.
Use a pointed stick to make dents for the eyes.
