SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS CERAMIC CONFERENCE
The George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum at the Quadrangle in Springfield, Massachusetts, will present A Survey of American Ceramics, a three-day seminar to be held. . Elaine Levin will trace the history of American ceramics from the red earthenware made by potters of Jamestown in 1607 through the work of contemporary ceramics artists. Explore the collection of 15th through 20th-century Asian ceramics. The seminar will also include pottery, demonstrations, tours of the museum’s colletions and visits to the studios of three ceramic artists.
